Navy
The Navy required a portable
battery powered heat gun to be used onboard aircraft carriers
and flight lines. For wire harness and cable repair they
needed to eliminate the need for APU's, power Wagons, bulky
power cords and air lines running across the flight deck.
In addition the Navy needed a tool that could be used on
board fueled aircraft. The Malcom Company, in developing
the MCH-100-A, had to meet and exceed each requirement
put forth. Working together with the members of AWSEC and
the Navies field technicians we achieved every goal.
